The road to Majorna

Our journey began at Evas Paley, where we decided that the easiest way to a restaurant of our own was to first get a food truck, build up capital and then invest in a restaurant space. Said and done. Two years later we have reached our first milestone. We have a restaurant.

Years on the street

Before the restaurant existed we were out on the road with our food truck, Oss bröd emellan. We held a Gothenburg food truck permit, which grants the right to trade at a set of designated spots around town. Most often that meant Grönsakstorget.

We have parked outside Scandinavium and Frölundaborg for Frölunda hockey games, many times over, and at plenty of festivals, Amaze among them.

The space

In early 2025 we started talking to Källfelt, now Stena Fastigheter, about the space by Chapmans torg. Back then it was an old beauty salon, and at first it mostly looked like it could become something along the lines of a café, since we couldn't get proper ventilation in.

But suddenly everything fell into place, and we got the chance to build a real kitchen. An opportunity we are deeply grateful for. We have been involved in choosing almost everything ourselves, from the floor plan to the small details. We hope you'll feel at home here!

The neighborhood restaurant

The ambition is to create a friendly neighborhood restaurant with good food and good drinks. We draw inspiration from every corner of the world, but also from the gut. We cook what we love to eat ourselves, street food and comfort food with lots of flavor and feeling. The menu changes with the seasons and other feelings.

This autumn the quiz nights are back, and there will be DJs some weekends again. Dogs are warmly welcome, we have our own and love the little creatures.

It all started with our food truck Oss bröd emellan, which still rolls around Gothenburg and can be booked for events and parties.

You will find us at Karl Johansgatan 78 by Chapmans torg in Majorna. Take tram 3 or 9 from Järntorget and get off at the Chapmans torg stop. There is paid street parking around the square. The entrance has a ramp for wheelchairs and prams, and during the summer half of the year the outdoor seating is out by the door.
